Back from Nanaimo. Thanks to everyone down there who helped out with this trip.. you know who you are!

Some stuff to show from this one, I think... got some nice shots from down on the waterfront and in the town. So much of the old town I loved seems to have been torn down and rebuilt as new, 'improved' buildings. Too bad.
Still, I'm getting back to my love of street photography... so that makes it a good thing in the end. The bigger and colder and harder and dirtier the cities the better the street scenes that come out of them! Nanaimo isn't the greatest place on earth to live, nor is it the worst... but it's industrial enough to have a whole underbelly of lost souls for me to play with. I have seen some fantastic documentation of 'modern human urban life' in my time, and now I'm hoping to start to contribute some of my own.
I'm considering the online equivalent of an old underground magazine I tried to start up ages ago - so long ago that let me say the first issue was printed up on a dot matrix printer off files generated on an Amiga 500 plugged into an old black and white TV! It was almost a scene setter... but the cost and time it would have taken to actually circulate it was more than I could do at the time.
Now, however, I have a whole world of new options at my disposal...
Hmmm... gotta redo the logo at least... but the 'business model' will still hold, maybe even better in the current world.
Hmmm.. gotta talk to some people about talking to some people... make something start moving... Yeahhhhh......
