'Irregardless' and 'Orientate' are not words.

STOP USING THEM.

Saying 'irregardless' is like saying ' that not nothing over there'.

'Orientate' is only used by people trying to SOUND important. The correct word is ORIENT! How easy is that!?!?

Not that I would ever condone mass violence... but maybe stabbing anyone using those words could be a good idea for the human genetic pool... ?

Try [link] as an example....

BOOM!

A whackload of 'Watches' gone... most of which haven't been heard from for 6 months, and can be presumed 'missing in action'.

The gods can only hope that they have gone on with other aspects of their meatworld lives and are loving it -whatever 'IT' is... ;-)

It's sad to see someone APPEAR to stop making art... wither they have or not... especially when they are of a sort that you actually took notice of and appreciated. But life goes on... that ever turning wheel... and I hope all Ex-Deviants I was keeping an eye on are even happier now they are otherwise consumed.

Mind you.. I just KNOW that the moment I stopped watching them they all thought ' Oh hell! I have all this INCREDIBLE WORK I've been doing lately that I just HAVE to get online! They'll all be giving up hope on me soon! " ;-P

Summer is coming, after all... and that changes a lot of things for a lot of people...

Sooo.. after the last 'maintenance' I now seem to have some sort of Pokemon Mudkip as my logo... and it looks like it might just link to me too.....

Hmmm....

I am 99% sure _I_ didn't do that....

:-\

It _IS_ April now.. right?

Another update...

Well.. it seems the Magazine may well be a go after all. IT is just that there is going to need to be several more 'steps' between now and startup than my original plans entailed. Not a big problem, though.. just a little more waiting. I've gotten very good at that. ;-)

Still.. the extra time spent in setup will make the whole thing far more stable, and far more expansive than if I just jumped into it now.

I even have the names all picked out for the departments.... and I can use the down time spent in prep to work out the layouts and logos for each.

It keeps me busy... that's all I can ask for at the moment.

That and a slow frenzy of building new DIY photography equipment - specialized toys that you just can't buy! Soon I'll have at least 2 things for any and every specialized shooting situation there is! THEN I pull apart the scanner and start work on my Scanner back camera!

Back again.

Back from Nanaimo. Thanks to everyone down there who helped out with this trip.. you know who you are! ;-)

Some stuff to show from this one, I think... got some nice shots from down on the waterfront and in the town. So much of the old town I loved seems to have been torn down and rebuilt as new, 'improved' buildings. Too bad.

Still, I'm getting back to my love of street photography... so that makes it a good thing in the end. The bigger and colder and harder and dirtier the cities the better the street scenes that come out of them! Nanaimo isn't the greatest place on earth to live, nor is it the worst... but it's industrial enough to have a whole underbelly of lost souls for me to play with. I have seen some fantastic documentation of 'modern human urban life' in my time, and now I'm hoping to start to contribute some of my own.

I'm considering the online equivalent of an old underground magazine I tried to start up ages ago - so long ago that let me say the first issue was printed up on a dot matrix printer off files generated on an Amiga 500 plugged into an old black and white TV! It was almost a scene setter... but the cost and time it would have taken to actually circulate it was more than I could do at the time.

Now, however, I have a whole world of new options at my disposal...

Hmmm... gotta redo the logo at least... but the 'business model' will still hold, maybe even better in the current world.

Hmmm.. gotta talk to some people about talking to some people... make something start moving... Yeahhhhh......
